I decided to give the Food and Beverage Scenario another go. This time I have more experience and a better idea of what to do. I decided to start off by selling goods from the port to cover expenses as I begin to invest in my farms and factories.
The goal you begin with requires you to:
$300m for Market Cap of your Corporation
Market Dominance in Food Industry
Market Dominance in Beverage Industry
Market Dominance in Snacks Industry
Finally, the Main Goal is to have:
Market Cap of Corporation: $600m (says $1bn in text)
Annual Revenue of Corporation: $800m
Dominance in Food Industry
Dominance in Beverage Industry
Dominance in Snacks Industry
Lessons learned in the Food and Beverage Scenario Reboot:
1. Use your expertise
Your expertise allows you to easily do R&D. When you have the expertise, your 1 year of research gives more tech than someone without expertise.
2. Manufacture what’s not available
The ports always give good quality products. There is no point in manufacturing what is available in the ports as you will be selling it for dirt cheap to be able to compete.
3. Advertise early using range branding
As my entire focus is on snacks right now, I am spending $500m per month for all stores for a year to get my branding up which will allow me to easily bring in the other products prices higher to sell.
